What is an iPhone?
Mobile phones with the ability to connect to the internet via a mobile signal are called smartphones. An iPhone is the market leader and a brand of smartphone made by the computer company Apple. The iPhone has a very high quality display and very high quality touch screen sensitivity.
What is an App?
As well as being able to make calls, a smartphone can browse the internet, check email and download self contained programs that display information and can complete tasks such as telling the user where they are, or taking photographs. These small programs are downloaded and stored on the device and are known as apps. An app or "application" can refer to many things but generally it refers to a self contained program that runs on a mobile device such as a smartphone.
What is an iPad?
Apple make a larger version of the iPhone, which does not make calls and is specifically designed for browsing the internet and running apps. The screen is larger, making it perfect for delivering content to all users.
